How to Get Started with TestBuddy π
If you've ever found the traditional bug-reporting and debugging process cumbersome, TestBuddy is here to simplify things for you. With TestBuddy, you can speed up bug-reporting workflows by up to 20 times and expedite debugging sessions.
Here's a step-by-step guide to reporting your first bug with TestBuddy:
Step 1 - Install the TestBuddy Extension
Head over to the official TestBuddy website and click the "Download Extension" button to download the Chrome Extension for free from the Chrome Web Store. Once downloaded, install the extension and pin it to your browser toolbar for easy access.

Step 2 - Create an Account
To access and manage your bug reports, create a TestBuddy account. This will allow you to keep everything organised from a central dashboard. Simply open the TestBuddy extension, click on the TestBuddy logo in the top-left corner, and sign up with your email address. Alternatively, you can sign up using your Gmail , GitHub or Microsoft account.

Step 3 - Capturing Your First Bug
Open the TestBuddy extension on your browser and choose how you want to capture your bug β whether by taking a screenshot, recording a video, or using the Instant Replay feature to capture the last 2 minutes of your screen activities. For example, click "Take a Screenshot" on the web page you want to capture a bug, and voila!
You've just captured your first bug. β
Step 4 - Sharing the Bug Report
Add a bug title (required) and any other relevant details to your visual bug report captured with TestBuddy. Click the "TestBuddy-AI" button, and it generates you bug description and steps to reproduce a bug . your report link will be generated and automatically copied to the clipboard. You can share this captured bug by clicking on "Share bug using a public URL" this link to provide access to the complete bug report, including all the information you've just created or you can click on "Share bug details via Mail" or directly post it to your jira workspace by clicking on "create bug on JIRA" .
Technical details are automatically added to the report to aid developers in debugging. TestBuddy attaches information like console logs, network requests, and system info to every bug report, providing developers with all the necessary details to reproduce and resolve the issue efficiently.
